Terms and Conditions

Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Hoffman Estates Insulation Services website and any insulation work you hire us to do. By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Hoffman Estates Insulation Services. "You" means the person using this site or the property owner hiring us. If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Hoffman Estates, IL, and we work in homes and commercial buildings in Hoffman Estates and the cities around it. Our work includes attic and wall insulation, blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, insulation removal, crawl space and basement insulation, and vapor barriers. The services and service areas on our home page and elsewhere on this site describe what we usually do. They aren't a promise that we can take every job.
What you read on this site is general information, not advice about your house, because we can't know what's in your attic or walls until we've seen it. To learn more about who we are, visit our About page.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free. Each estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, such as the size of the space, the material you pick, how many inches are already up there and how hard the area is to reach.
Some things only show up once the work starts, like old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings, hidden damage, wiring that has to be dealt with first, or framing that isn't what we expected. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop, show you what we found and get your approval before doing any extra work. An estimate holds for the time printed on it, and after that we may need to update it because material and labor costs change.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays or an earlier job running long can push a date back, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.
On the day of the job, we need clear access to the work area, including the attic hatch, crawl space or basement, along with a place to park and access to power. If we arrive and can't get in or the area isn't ready, we may have to reschedule.
For spray foam and some other materials, we'll give you a re-entry time, which is when it's safe for people and pets to come back in. You agree to keep everyone, kids and pets included, out of the work area until then.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, call us at (847) 380-5407 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials for your job or started the work, you may owe for those materials and the labor done up to that point, as your contract describes.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out how and when you pay, including any deposit. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until it's settled. Where Illinois law allows it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance.
Our work and warranties
We do the work carefully and in a workmanlike way, and if something about our workmanship isn't right, tell us and we'll come back to look at it. Any written warranty for your job is described in your contract, and that document sets its terms and limits.
Warranties on materials come from the companies that make them, not from us, and they usually depend on the product being installed and used the way the maker says.
We don't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set temperature in any room, because those depend on things outside our work, like your heating and cooling equipment, your windows, the weather and how you use the house. To the extent Illinois law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we're responsible for damage our crew causes while working at your property. We aren't responsible for conditions that were there before we started, such as existing moisture, mold, rot, pests, roof leaks or faulty wiring, or for problems caused by work someone else does after us.
To the fullest extent Illinois law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your home, higher energy costs or lost income. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Using this website
You may use this site to learn about our services and get in touch with us. Please don't copy its content for commercial use, try to break into it or use it to send anything unlawful.
Any links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.
How we handle a disagreement
If you have a concern about our work or a bill, please call us first or reach us through our contact page, because most problems get solved fastest by talking them through. We reply within 1 business day and will work with you in good faith to sort it out.
If we can't settle it that way within a reasonable time, either of us may bring the matter to a court with jurisdiction in Illinois.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and changes take effect once they're posted on this page. The terms in place when you signed your contract still apply to that job.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, call Hoffman Estates Insulation Services at (847) 380-5407 or send us a note through the form on our contact page, and we'll walk you through it.
