About our Hoffman Estates insulation company
Hoffman Estates Insulation Services is an insulation contractor based in Hoffman Estates, IL. I started the business in 2017 to sort out the houses that don't make sense at first, like the room that's cold no matter what, and I still come out to look at most jobs myself.

How I went from selling insulation to installing it
I started out selling insulation jobs for another company, and I got curious about what was really going on up in those attics. So I climbed up with the installers, learned the work from them and did it myself for a few years before I started this business in Hoffman Estates in 2017.
Most houses around here are single-family homes, with plenty of condos and some larger buildings mixed in, and the calls sound alike. A bedroom that stays cold all winter. An upstairs that's hot all summer. An attic with three kinds of old insulation in it, and nobody's sure why.
Those are the puzzles I like, and the answer usually comes down to order. Insulation laid over a leak or a problem nobody checked just hides the trouble, so I'd rather tell you a job isn't worth it than sell you something your house doesn't need. That's the idea behind everything we do as an insulation contractor in Hoffman Estates.
What working with us looks like at your house
These are the things you'll notice when we work on your house. Most of them come down to looking before we sell anything and doing the steps in the right order.
We find the cause first
Before we talk about materials, I want to know why your house is drafty or costly to heat. Is warm air slipping out around the attic hatch, or is the coverage deep in the middle and thin at the edges? Once we know, the fix usually makes a lot more sense.
Problems that have to come first
I check for roof leaks, old wiring, gas appliances and suspect old insulation before anything goes in, because fresh material laid over soaked or droppings-filled insulation keeps the problem right where it was. If something has to be fixed or removed first, we plan the job around it.
Sealing the gaps before insulating
Air sealing, closing the gaps around pipes, can lights and the hatch, comes before any insulation, so you're not paying to cover the leaks that waste the most heat. Foam seals while it insulates but costs more, so sealing and topping up with blown-in loose fill usually wins unless your ductwork runs up there.
You deal with the owner
I come out to look at most jobs myself, and our installers do the work. From the first visit to the last day of work, you can call me with questions, and you'll get a straight answer about what your house needs, even when that answer is less work.
Licensing, insurance and permits for insulation work
We're licensed and insured. The Village of Hoffman Estates has every contractor register before working there, renewed yearly, and on each job we check with the local office and handle any permit the work calls for.
- Response time
We reply within one business day.
What happens from your first call to the last day
Here's how a job usually runs, from the first call to the cleanup. The schedule mostly turns on what has to happen first, like a roof repair, old insulation coming out or a permit.
Call or send a request
Call (847) 380-5407 or use the form on our contact page, and tell us what you're noticing, whether it's a drafty bedroom, cold floors or the room over the garage. We reply within one business day to set up a time to come see it.
I look the house over
I come out to most jobs myself and go up into the attic or crawl space to see how many inches are already there, what shape it's in and where air is getting through. The estimate is free, done on site and comes with no obligation.
We plan the right order
If a roof leak, old wiring or soaked insulation has to be dealt with first, we build that into the plan. We check with the city or village office and take care of any permit and paperwork the job calls for, so you don't have to chase it.
Our installers do the work
Our installers seal the gaps first, then insulate, keeping the eave vents clear so the attic can still breathe. If the job uses foam, we'll tell you when you, the kids and the pets can come back in, and you can call me with questions until we're done.
